Great Day!!!

Team Epic,
If you are listening out there all I can say is WOW! I met with your coordinators today and I can tell you how encouraged and excited I am to know what good hands you are in. These 4 amazing people have vision, purpose and they lead with a servant's heart. In this business all of that could be enough but they bring so much more than that to the table. They also bring experience and expertise. I am confident through your activity and committment and their leadership you will all have the best year ever.
Have you completed your business plan and your 2010 goals? Remember they need to be turned in at our Regional Kickoff meeting on Monday.
I have been asked by many what exactly I am looking for in your plan. The reason I didn't give you an outline, I wanted it to be all yours...your vision, your words, your desires and your plans.
I really enjoyed meeting with each of you this week and getting to know more about where you want to be at the end of the year. It is evident that most of you have a clear vision for what you want. I appreciate that you are excited right now about the blank page in front of you this year. It seems that right now you know you can write your book for 2010. The enthusiam and optimisim is contagious...but what hapens next week, and the next and the next month...etc...What happens when life gets in the way? Will you be committed??? The true defination of committment is following through long after the feeling that you that you first committed has past.
I challange each of you create some accounability(other than your coordinator) with a friend, mentor, co worker or spouse to hold you accountable to your plan. I think it could make all the difference. Also adding the "who" in your plan could help keep you committed...allow me to explain.
Usually when we make our goals and our plans we are really really good at creating a plan around where we want to be, what we want to accomplish, why and how we are going to accomplish it and how long it will take.
I challange you to add one more element to your plan this year.... think about the "who" (other than yourself) in your life that makes you want to be successful.
It is a spouse that wants to be able to stay at home with the children, is it a child that wants to go to college, is it grandchildren that you don't ever want to have to do without..."Who" are you working for...what kind of "Living Legacy" do you want to create....just a thought:)

As I sit here and reflect on 2009 I continue to realize just how blessed I really am.
I have the best team anyone could possibly ask for. I have been reminded by meeting with you all the last couple of days how truly unique and special this team really is.
I am super excited about the new year and can't wait to communicate with you through this blog. Don't forget to check it out from time to time.
